Profource implements Oracle Fusion Applications to form foundation for new product development

  • January 2012

Profource, Systems Integrator (SI) for the Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion and Oracle Business Intelligence solutions, becomes one of the first users of Oracle Fusion Applications in the Benelux region. Profource will implement the ERP modules of Oracle Fusion Applications and is one of Oracle’s first partners in Europe to deploy the financial and planning applications of the Oracle business software suite.

Oracle Fusion ApplicationsBesides Oracle Fusion Applications, Profource is also investing in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle’s business intelligence platform for management information and dashboards. With this deployment Profource will not only improve its own internal financial processes, but will also gain the necessary experience and insights to guide customers during their implementation process. Profource will be one of the first service providers in Europe helping organizations migrate to Oracle Fusion Applications.

During the first phase of implementation, Profource has gained the technical and functional knowledge of Oracle WebCenter Imaging, an important element of Oracle Fusion Applications. In the second phase, Oracle Fusion Applications will be implemented in a co-existence fashion with the Oracle E-Business Suite. This means that the existing Oracle E-Business Suite will run parallel to the new Oracle Fusion Applications environment helping to deliver significant advantages due to near real-time integration.

Profource also started to develop industry specific solutions for financial organizations based on Oracle Fusion Applications. As financial legislation and processes differ per bank and country, Profource is currently working on a special module for telebanking in Europe in addition to Oracle Fusion Applications for financial processes.

Profource is a Gold level member in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).

Berry Clemens, director of sales and marketing, Profource commented: “With Oracle Fusion Applications and the included OTBI components we can equip our employees with enhanced features and an improved user environment, including apps for smartphones and tablets. With experience based on our own implementation as business case, we have the necessary knowledge which is not only beneficial to our employees, but also to our customers. The development of new services, including Business Process Outsourcing, is a natural consequence.”

Coen Bos, senior sales director, Oracle Applications, Benelux added: “Profource has already proven to be a real early adopter when it comes to new Oracle technology. It’s good to see they are so excited about Oracle Fusion Applications and are enthusiastic about the challenge to develop new solutions. Oracle Fusion Applications are developed based on best practices. Profource understands this and is one of the first to demonstrate this.”
